Ford has expanded the Mustang Dark Horse SC lineup with a new convertible variant, bringing supercharged V8 performance to an open-top S650 Mustang.
The new Ford Mustang Dark Horse SC Convertible produces 795 horsepower from a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 and pairs that output with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
With its introduction, the Dark Horse SC Convertible becomes the most powerful Mustang convertible Ford has offered to date and represents the first new high-performance Mustang convertible since the 2013-2014 Shelby GT500.
A Different Focus From the Dark Horse SC Coupe
While the Dark Horse SC coupe is positioned with a stronger focus on track performance, the convertible is aimed more toward street driving and grand touring while retaining the core powertrain of the Dark Horse SC.

Ford has also added a lightweight magnesium tower-to-tower brace for additional structural reinforcement to help manage the output of the supercharged 5.2-liter V8.
