Ford Built an Official Community Platform for Mustang Owners and Fans

If you own a Ford Mustang, or simply love the pony car, there is a good chance you have seen the name Mustang Unleashed appearing online, at events, or even on a vehicle window addendum.

Mustang Unleashed is Ford’s free community platform built specifically for Mustang owners and fans. It brings driving routes, events, vehicle information, rewards, and direct connections to the Mustang community together in one place.

What Is Mustang Unleashed?

The Mustang community has always been spread across Facebook groups, forums, club pages, social media accounts, and local meetups. Mustang Unleashed gives enthusiasts a complementary digital home where they can discover, share, and participate while connecting more directly with Ford.

The Four Core Experiences

MyDrives

Members can map favorite roads, scenic cruises, and road-trip destinations, then upload photos and share those routes with other enthusiasts. Sharing a MyDrive is also one way to earn points in the community.

MyInvites

MyInvites serves as the event hub. Members can create or discover Cars & Coffee gatherings, cruises, club events, photoshoots, meetups, and caravans to major Mustang shows. Ford-supported experiences can appear alongside community-created events.

Special Vehicle Registry

Owners can link eligible vehicles through Ford’s separate Special Vehicle Registry at SpecialVehicleRegistry.com and sync them to Mustang Unleashed. Depending on the vehicle, members may access original factory information through Ford’s NAVIS database, receive invitations to select Ford events, and receive a 10% discount at FordShowParts.com.

Challenge Drives Bring the Community Together

Mustang Unleashed is not limited to online participation. Mustang Unleashed is also using Challenge Drives at select live events to give members opportunities to participate, explore, and connect with other enthusiasts in person. Availability varies by event, so members should watch the Mustang Unleashed event calendar for upcoming opportunities.

How MyPoints Work

MyPoints rewards members for participating in the community. Points can be earned by completing a profile, maintaining login streaks, sharing MyDrives, hosting MyInvites, referring other enthusiasts, and completing other activities.

The system uses two separate balances:

  • Lifetime Points never decrease. They determine leaderboard rankings, unlock achievements, and track a member’s long-term participation.
  • Redeemable Points can be spent in the Rewards Shop without reducing Lifetime Points or changing leaderboard position.

The Mustang Unleashed Rewards Shop

Redeemable Points can be exchanged for exclusive Mustang Unleashed merchandise, partner discounts, and limited collector drops. Current partner offers include brands such as RTR Vehicles and Ford Show Parts, with additional rewards planned.

Inventory is intentionally limited. Once a reward is fully redeemed, it may disappear from the shop, giving members a reason to remain active and watch for new releases.

Referrals Are the Fastest Way to Earn More

Every new member who joins through a member’s unique referral link currently earns that member:

  • 100 Lifetime Points
  • 100 Redeemable Points

That makes referrals one of the quickest ways to move up the leaderboard while building a balance to use in the Rewards Shop.

Who Can Join?

You do not need to currently own a Mustang to join. Mustang Unleashed is free and open to Mustang owners, fans, and enthusiasts in the United States. Owners can unlock additional features by linking an eligible vehicle through the Special Vehicle Registry.

More than 7,000 Mustang enthusiasts have already joined the community, and that number continues to grow.
